About Us

If a situation needed trainers - rain, mud, long walks - I'd be in ballet flats insisting I was fine. I had tons of them; badly made, uncomfortable but pretty.

I was pregnant waddling round the cobbled streets in Italy, and I knew how ridiculous I was being but trainers reminded me of PE.

We got home and my husband got a bread knife, hacked the sole off his trainers and glued it to my flats. Botch job? Yes, but we could fix that. Comfortable? YES.

But I wasn’t a “shoe person.” I had a successful career in the Not For Profit sector so starting a shoe business seemed ...  frivolous.

Since we started in 2017, I've brought my charitable ethos to the business. We pay our artisans fairly, donate to good causes and as we grow and outsource sending our your orders, we'll only work with companies founded to employ refugees. I firmly believe you don't need to be mean to get ahead.
